Sexual Assault Awareness Week


​April is Sexual Assaulat Awareness Month. Join student life, the Equal Opportunity Office and the University of Kansas Medical Center Police Department for a week of events April 9-12 to bring awareness and address the prevention of sexual assault.
Monday, April 9: Flag display at 8:30 a.m. in the HEB Courtyard; MOCSA's Trauma Informed Responses presentation at noon in 3112 HEB
Tuesday, April 10: Jayhawk Break at 9 a.m. in Murphy Lobby
Wednesday, April 11: Rose Brooks Women's Shelter presentation at noon in 1025 Orr-Major
Thursday, April 12: Police Department's Situational Awareness presentation at noon in 2112 HEB; popcorn and RAD information table 2-4 p.m., HEB pedestrian bridge



Documentary Screening: Big Sonia, 4/5




 "Big Sonia" tells the story of Sonia, one of the last remaining Holocaust survivors in Kansas City. Because of the depth of societal issues covered in the film, including elder rights and ageism, the Landon Center on Aging is hosting a showing, 5 p.m., April 5, G201 HEB. Movie snacks will be provided.
