Volunteers needed for annual AIHREA Powwow & Health Fair, 5/1-2

This is a great opportunity for students (and others!) to get out into the American Indian community to provide much needed services AND to have a great time at a cultural event.  We draw some of the best dancers and singers in the country.  If you are interested, please fill out the appropriate survey below.

The American Indian Health Research and Education Alliance is currently looking for volunteers for our annual Health and Wellness Powwow!  This is a large event that combines a competitive powwow with a health fair.  We usually get around 2000 people over the course of the weekend.  This year’s event is Friday, May 1, and Saturday, May 2, at Johnson County Community College in their gym (see attached flyer).

We are looking for volunteers to do health screenings (eg – BMI, glucose, cholesterol, blood pressure, etc.), as well as “Ask a Doc” and mental health booths.  We need both students and supervisors for three time slots:  Friday, May 1, 6-9pm, Saturday, May 2, 1-4pm and 4-7pm.  If you are interested in helping out, please fill out this survey:
