 “Successfully Navigating the Academic Pipeline:  
Recruitment, Retention and Advancement of Diverse Faculty.”

Date: Thursday, April 27
Time:  Noon-1 p.m. (box lunch to first 50, pick up in SON G011 11:30-12:00)
Location: School of Nursing G013 Auditorium
Co-Sponsorship: WIMS and EVCs Diversity & Inclusion Cabinet

Goals of the Panel and Panelist Discussion will include:
                                                              i.      Discussion of current efforts to attract women to pursue careers in medicine across the country, regionally and locally
                                                            ii.       Discussion of Recruitment and retention of a talented and diverse faculty for academic medicine  across the country, regionally and locally
                                                          iii.       Discussion of Creating excellent educational, clinical and research cultures across academic medical centers (AMCs) across the country, regionally and locally.

Objectives of the Panel and Panelist Discussion will be to:
                                                              i.       Share current successes, challenges and barriers to recruitment through panelist experiences and examples
                                                            ii.      Build on current successes to improve gaps in recruitment and retention
