MLK Day of Service Opportunities, 1/21

For the second year, the Black History Month Advisory Group has arranged volunteer opportunities for anyone interested in giving back on Martin Luther King, Jr., Day, Monday, Jan. 21.  This service opportunity honors the life and achievements Dr. King, and serves as the kick-off for the annual Black History Month activities in February.  Please see below for details and to sign up.

All volunteer activities will run from 9 am - noon on Monday, January 21.
  • Cross-Lines volunteers will assist with packing food for low-income seniors. Plan to meet your team at 736 Shawnee Ave. Kansas City, Kansas.
  • Young Women on the Move volunteers will paint rooms at their new location. Please meet your team at 3148 Parallel Parkway, Kansas City, Kansas
Children who are old enough to help are welcome to participate at both locations.
