Bringing our campus community together: A spiritual gathering

We recognize the importance of supporting the spiritual needs of employees and students, while helping them learn resiliency and feel connected. In collaboration with KUMC Counseling & Educational Support Services, Diversity, Equity & Inclusion will hold a 30-minute virtual gathering to bring us together and foster a sense of community. We welcome you to join us 8:30–9 a.m. every Monday through May 11th via Zoom:

Join from PC, Mac, iOS or Android: https://kumc.zoom.us/j/5226845502
Or join by phone:

Meeting ID: 522 684 5502

All are welcome. You do not have to be of a particular faith or religion to join us. Our goal is to provide a platform to bring us together, foster community, and promote spirituality, meditation and mindfulness.

We want to be as inclusive as possible. For the upcoming sessions, we want to invite one (or more) individuals to:

1. Offer inspirational words (10 min or less/one person)
2. Lead us in a silent/individual prayer or medication (2 min/one person)
3. Mindfulness meditation (4-5 min/one person)
4. Closing prayer (2 min/one person)

We’ll also try to leave a few minutes for sharing at either the beginning or ending. We begin and end on time.

If you are interested in one, or all four of the above, email kfriel3@kumc.edu to let us know.

Please find the session recordings on the Diversity webpage at: https://kumed.sharepoint.com/sites/mykumc/diversity.
